Moving to Orlando, FL to explore a career in television & film direction, Alex Sabre quickly transitioned his creative outlet to music. Befriending such Orlando icons as Andy Hughes, DJ Knightlife/Chris Hand, Mike Hiratzka, and his mentor DJ 5.0/Daywalker, he quickly acquired the skills of a veteran DJ in just two short years. It was the beginning of the new millenium and a new career.
What followed was a flurry of guest sets in the central and west coast of Florida. Club 911, Zinc, Icon, Heaven, and Rhythm & Flow were just a few establishments to get exposure to this up and coming artist. Special events were common too, when Orlando magazine, Industry, asked Alex to DJ their Grand Opening and Anniversary parties.
2003 proved to be a landmark year when Pulseradio invited him to be a monthly resident on Euphoric Excursions where he broke out the newest Progressive House and Trance tracks for a worldwide audience.
In late 2003 he settled into a residency with partner Kevin Keith at Orlando’s hottest new spot, Red Square Lounge. Hundreds of Orlando’s socialites got moved and grooved every Saturday night for an unprecedented residency which lasted almost two years.
Already an established Trance and Progressive House DJ, in 2005 he refined his sound and began to create a musical vision based on his exposure to traditional House, Electro, Tech House and Progressive. It is a style which captures the audience, blends the many genres seamlessly, and leaves you asking for more. Sabre attended his 7th Winter Music Conference that year, and this one was the most influential. Spinning for Pulseradio at the Chesterfield Hotel in the heart of South Beach provided maximum exposure for America’s best kept secret. Alex increased his playing schedule in 2006 and 2007, and was now playing venues along the East Coast of the U.S. and monthly in Orlando at Suite B Lounge.
What came next was groundbreaking. He began his collaboration with established Producer/DJ Seth Vogt, who was also an Euphoric Excursions alum. In 2008 Alex focused all his energy in the studio and releasing his first original track. In February 2009, Electroshock Treatment was released on M-Toxin Recordings. The track was an Alex Sabre & Kevin Keith production and features remixes by Seth Vogt and DJ Clueless. Appearing at the M-Toxin Recordings party in Downtown Miami this WMC ‘09 was another step in the growth of an artist. His exclusive two-day performance at a private industry party held at the Blue Moon Hotel on Collins and 9th, left party-goers speechless and Alex ready to take the dance scene by storm.
